question about ticket?

hey there got a ticket not on the bike but figured Daddybusa might be able to answer this for me.

it was a ticket for being in the reserved bus lane, only thing was I was in the middle lane, stopped at the light and they signalled me and 3 other cars to pull over into the parking of maxi, near christophe colombe and papineau area, when they pulled me over, never said what it was for, just asked for papers went to the car, wrote up the ticket (took about 20 mins) then came back and gave it to me....and left not a word... the time on the ticket said 8:06AM and on the notice to appear in court it said that the time of the infraction was 8:00 AM. does it make a difference? just wondering cause I have heard a lot of things about contesting tickets and little mistakes that can throw the case?

any advice would be appreciated I have to go to court in OCT.

L'erreur concernant l'heure du ticket n'a aucune incidence...... les chances de gagner un procès pour ce genre de cause sont à peu près nulles, à moins d'être en mesure de prouver que tu étais dans l'impossibilité de faire autrement, c'est à dire de circuler dans une voie interdite.... ou de prouver que tu ne circulais pas dans cette voie.... bref, je ne gagerais pas sur tes chances de succès.....

The time of the infraction does not make much of a difference. One can only say that the time is reasonnably close enough to the time you are giving to put the trial back on track... everyone knows that 5-10 minutes can be accounted on different time sources. There is no salvation there i'm affraid.... sorry, just don't use that lane next time

well what was funny was i was not in the lane...

I was in the middle lane not the right (reserved lane)....

how can I prove it?

HmM>> basically it comes back to your word against the cop's... if you were not in that lane< the only thing you can do is trY to plant a doubt in the juge's mind.. if he has the slightesT doubt about the incident, he will have to dismiss the case. Your best bet is to force the agent to prove you were in that LAne. Prosecution has the burden of proof.

You should check the signalisation also.... was it properly indicated that it was a reserved lane and I suggest that you take pictures of the exact location where the alleged infraction was committed(the adresse or intersection should be on the ticket).
You'de be surprised how many judge would give the benefit of the doubt to citizens when they provide a good defense .... Be cool at court and prepare your questions for the police officer that will testify ....
Do not get mad at the officer and under no circumstance accuse them of not saying the truth... just politely ask if it would be possible that they made a mistake.... then testify with all your hearth.... :P :P

May be you'll convice the judge.... bad side of all this is the day you lose in court

Lorsqu'on intercepte un véhicule on doit indiquer a 2 endroit des heures. Le premier, l'heure de l'infraction, c'est-à-dire l'heure ou l'infraction fut commise et constaté. En 2 ieme l'heure de la signification du billet, c'est-à-dire l'heure ou l'on remet le billet au fautif.

Il est possible qu'il y est une bonne différence entre les 2 heures indiquées, cela dépend du temps que le policier a pris pour rédiger le billet. Pour ce qui est des convocation à la cour, je n'ai aucune idées qu'elles heures ils utilisent ou inscrivent ds leur régistre.

mon question c'est as tu un facon du prouve que quand ils mont arrete j'ete pas dans la voi reserve. ou c'est vraiment mon cote contre le policiere?
