Pedrosa compares favourably to Rossi

As it now seems likely that Dani Pedrosa will compete against Valentino Rossi in MotoGP next year, it is interesting to compare the performances of the two riders in the 250cc class. Rossi competed on a 250cc machine for two years before moving up to the premier class, finishing second in the title race in 1998 and winning the World Championship in 1999. However, at this stage of his 250cc career, Pedrosa has a superior success rate in a number of categories.

The Spaniard is only two wins off Rossi, with 12 to the Italian’s 14, although his victory percentage is higher, 48% compared to 46,7% due to the fact Pedrosa has started five 250cc GPs less than Rossi.

With regard to podium finishes percentages, Pedrosa is again ahead of Rossi, (76% to 70%), after clinching 19 podiums in 25 starts, with Rossi managing 21 in 30 GPs.

Pedrosa’s pole position percentage is almost twice what Rossi achieved in 250cc (32% – 16,7%) and at this moment the Spaniard has three poles more to his name than the Italian, eight versus five. The current 250 leader and world champion also has a superior points to race ratio, winning almost three points more than Rossi in each Grand Prix, averaging 19,92 to Rossi’s 17.

Rossi a reussi à etre champion du monde 125 et 250 malgré son physique(trop grand)
Pedrosa a été champion du monde 125,lorsqu'il est passé en 250,tout le monde a dit,IL EST TROP FAIBLE,il a été champion du monde 250cc

alors,je sais pas,j'en perds mon latin,il est capable de faire tres fort avec la 800 dès l'an prochain malgré ses 45 kgs ,il risque de se caller dans les 10 dès sa premiere course,qui parie??

en fait 1,58 m et 47 kgs
il va en bouffer quelques uns l'an prochain,je vous le dis
