Rossi talks about 2005 and 2006

This year, Valentino Rossi took the seventh title of his career, the fifth consecutive in the premier class. On his second title-winning campaign with Yamaha, Rossi reached an incredible result of 11 victories this year and always finished on the podium except in Japan, where he crashed out.

The Italian rider discussed at length on his season and reflected on various subjects, including the emergence of young riders such as Melandri and Hayden and Dani Pedrosa's move to MotoGP.

Rossi also commented the vastly rumoured switch to a single rider team, saying: “I don’t follow this story. For me stay alone is very good but also stay with Colin (Edwards) is not a problem (…) With Colin I have a good relationship, he is a very good guy.”

Talking on his link with Ferrari and a move to F1, he stressed that “it is very difficult that I switch from my sport to Formula One. I don’t know if I’m able to go fast and restart all from zero, I don’t think so but I have the occasion to drive a Formula One car for Ferrari (…) I try to understand if I maybe can go fast, just for my taste.”
