Now before it's posted, I know Vince...I'm a homo...and you'll still post that anyway but I beat you to it so it's all good.

I remember a few years back; all I ever wanted to do was hop on the bike and rip around whether it was alone or with friends. I remember countless kms of hooliganism and adrenaline. I remember the days of yore when friends gathered, bikes roared and videos were made. I remember times where we would ride to the wee hours of the night and barely sleep and the next day and do it all over again.

Tonight I've come to the realization that I no longer really enjoy riding...I don't enjoy riding at a reasonable speed cuz it's just a bunch of hand numbing vibration and ear ringing noise...I find I can't control myself and whack the throttle open and moments later I slow down and look over my shoulder and into my mirrors for the police who seem to be so abundant these last few years. I find that between going numb and paranoia, I just no longer enjoy anything about riding. I loved so much about it in the passed and had such great times with so many people and it just seems that those memories are fading away much like many of the people we used to ride who with already have...just a bunch of memories...

Gone are the days of the Julep where we 70 bikes would leave together to go to the Nortel road to rip wheelies only to have the cops show up immediately and then take off...gone are the days of shooting high speed traffic dodging videos...gone are the days of hooliganism...gone are the nights of just hanging out on crescent, cremerie or Bentley’s, gone is the pleasure I once knew and am now I'm left with sadness and emptiness inside.

I'm considering just selling my bike and being done with this portion of my life. It just doesn't merit the money it costs for the joy it brings me anymore.

2001- 12000km
2002 - 13500km
2003 - 15000km
2004 - 11500km
2005 - 11000km
2006 - 4500km
2007 barely 2-2500km

I rode around alone tonight for a while in Laval with nowhere to go and nothing to do, just rode...reminded me of the first few seasons where I enjoyed it but tonight was just a bunch of time spent thinking, maybe this just doesn't interest me anymore...

I remember going through the same feelings in the beginning of 2003 when I did 6000km on my busa in 6 weeks on those boring a*ss group rides where we did 1000km per weekend. I wanted to sell the bike back then and at that point I met all the boyz of the maniac’s days and everything was ok again. We had a blast...and now I'm back to being bored and no more hooligans left. It's just you and me Vince...but for how much longer, I couldn't tell you...

P.S. for all you f*uckers who got some smart a*ss reply to this post, I ain't interested in fighting with you guys, even that doesn't bring me any joy anymore....Damn...this just got real serious....

AMEN to that old friend, "Bertha's " been up for sale for a week...i guess limitless highways and total absence of snow doens't make up for distance and years...

You've done 7 year out of the 3year that generaly (statisticly) takes people to leave the sport.

Sometimes you need to do somethings else

I've come to realise that I don't enjoy long group rides as much anymore, but given the choice between taking my bike or my car to work, the bike wins every time.

Me, what still gets me excited about the bike is going to the track.

Once a biker always a biker, I remember when i was a younger lad

being at Moto International on Saginet for whatever reason didn't need one just to look at the bikes I think the staff thought I was one of them being there so much anyways I seen this older guy around 55 or so picking up his bike i started to talk to him and he just brought back his new FZR 1000 to trade it for a GSX-R 1100 says he likes the Gixer better anyways I thought that will be me at that age buying a sport bike and not a crusier I think that will be you too Haik
