Lease or buy...?

I've been looking for a good starter bike. I recently bought a Hebdo, and there are some nice good deals out there, but I'm wondering, what about leasing a NEW bike.

I love the 2003 Suzuki SV650s! They seem to go for about $8000 and liease for about $160-170 a month tax in ( so the ad says ).

So what are the pros and cons of leaseing? Anything to look out for?

I'd be interested in knowing this as well. Although I've heard alot of good things about other bikes also as starter bikes.

Seems like a normal price IF you're buying it ! ...dosen't seems like a good deal for a lease ...depend how long is the contract

Scusez my english "lease" ca veut dire quoi? Si ca veut dire financer c est sur que ca revient toujours plus cher a long terme mais c est un pret ouvert tu peux clairer quand tu veux! Moi j ai financé la mienne en tout cas j avais pas l argent pour la payer cash et je la voulais au PC! Et le paiement m egorge pas et j en profite tout de suite au lieu d attendre d avoir le $$$.

On peut louer une moto? Je savais pas! Il doit avoir pas mal de frais quand on la ramene si on calcule usure ,scratchs, millage pis tout ca???La facture doit monter plus vite qu une auto?? Actually, you're both right. You can't lease. I called the guy, the ad is for what they call a "Pret Ouvert" Open loan. The deal sounds too sweet to be true.

4 Year Payment ( total paid $ 8064 in 4 years ) with a 4 year warrantee
Taxes Freidght PDI EVERYTHING Inculded
Plus: Choice of $800 worth of gear in the store upon purchase!

That's not bad at all! The bike is about 7K if you buy it outright. So why not do the open loan thing and you can get gear while you're at it? Sounds like a good deal to me. Is the payment a fixed rate that you cannot overpay?

hmmmm sounds good but you know you will be hitting yourself in February when a 270$ payment goes through your account for something that you can't even use. lol. I think it would hurt less if you made the full payment right away, and not get all pissed off at the end of the month when you get your bill.

Moi je ne louerais pas,,, car a la fin du contrat, si tu veux garder le bike il reste une certaine somme ( ballon ) à payer, pis lorsque tu fais le compte de tout ca,, louer va avoir couter plus cher.
