This book really should have been (and maybe was) the revision of Twist I, rather than a separate volume. I'm not sure why the author keeps the two books alive; perhaps the original is still selling well. Twist II is much more useful to the street rider, as it incorporates most of the original book and more. It also doesn't seem quite as outdated, and although written in a similar style, it seems to be a more compelling read. I especially liked the notion of "thinking slower to go faster", and the chapters on the problems of rider input to the controls and the bike. The book has one quirk though -- after each chapter, there is a glossary of terms used in the preceding text. Some of the definitions are not specific to the book and are taken right from a dictionary -- is it really necessary to have definitions of words like "grim", "compliant" and "buffeting"? The only message I can take away from this is that the author feels that motorcycle riders are lacking in their reading and comprehension skills -- a bit of an insult. Glossary aside, this is a worthwhile book for motorcyclists intent on improving their street (and track) riding savvy.
