That's not a real photo.
Anyone who's witnessed enough accidents -- or anyone who understands even basic physics -- can tell you that the car would have had to hit something stationary for there to have been enough force exerted onto its hood so that it would collapse that way. If it had hit a motorcycle at such a high speed, the transfer of force would have thrust the motorcycle forward by many yards. In all likelihood, this car hit a pole. Also -- notice that the rear tire of the motorcycle is still inflated, and that there's no radiator fluid pooling up under the car! Nice try, but no cigar.

Ilya, it could be 100% real! and it's real I think
notice that only the bumper and hood are damaged! that's cause there is empty space between the wheel and fender/seat of a bike. The impact must have pry the subframe and nothing would have touch the car radiator. I've been hit like this while I was stop at a red light(4year ago). even though the speed was low(less then 30km/h on the impact) the car was damaged about the same and my bike was stuck in just like the one on the pic! |

Chris14,
That truck did not hit the motorcycle. It clipped it from behind. The motorcycle is not embedded in the front of that truck. That's a completely different scenario. Maxpat82, You're kind of making my point. The fact that there's empty space between the fender and the seat of the bike only demonstrates further that the car didn't hit anything solid enough to cause that much damage. I once plowed a Camry into the back of a taxi at 50km/h, and the Camry didn't sustain that much damage. That motorcycle probably weighs about 230 kilos. Add another 75 kilos for the rider, and you still have a fairly light object on just 2 wheels. I'm extremely glad that whatever happened to you didn't result in any grave injuries, but I doubt the damage caused to the vehicle that struck you was this extreme. As for the radiator, this motorcycle easily appears to be over 16 inches into the hood of the car. The radiator block would have not only been punctured, but most likely torn from its supports. There would definitely be coolant pooled below the car. Show up at most serious front-end car crashes and you'll always see it. Frankly, I wish motorcycles really did have such resiliance as to withstand a rear end collision as this one claims to have. However, go and search the Internet for other images like this and you'll quickly find that it just doesn't happen. Well -- maybe a Goldwing. But even if the damage to the motorcycle wouldn't be as horrible, it too certainly wouldn't find itself encrusted in a vehicle, and would probably be found laying on its side. Just my humble opinion. Unless someone finds evidence to the contrary, I'm sticking to it. :P

Ilya, you haven't seen the accident of Babu from MusqiuePlus!
the car look the same! bending a hood and damaging a bumper is really really easy, and only a minor impact can make it look like that! |
