Lumière de FI on and off.

Ok, c'est en anglais mais je voulais pas retaper en français ce que j'ai posté ailleurs...mais au besoin, je résumerai.

Here's the problem :

Two weeks ago, I was on the highway and the bike started to jerk. The power on the bike was turned on and off several times, the RPM needle was going to the stopper and back like if I was starting the bike and then nothing, no more power. I got stuck in Atwater tunnel and the bike wouldn't start anymore...so I had to push since there was not enough room to check around the bike securely.

When I got out of the tunnel, I was pretty sure that the problem was a connection to the battery...and I wasn't wrong. The negative on the battery was loose. I re-screwed it tightly and everything was fine...the bike started and was running properly.

The only thing is the FI light stayed on, and on the LCD, "FI (or F1)" was flashing in alternance with the temp and the FI led was on. Anyways, I got back home and the day after, I restarted the bike, the FI light was now off. I went to my g/f, spent the day there and when I left at night, FI light was on. I started slowly to let the bike warm up to around 160F. When I stopped at a red light, I turned off the bike, turned it on again just to see what would happen and the FI light was then off.

Since then, I noticed that most of the time when I start the bike, the FI light is on but once it has warmed up and I restart the bike, it stays off.

Now I don't have the dealer mod so I have no clue of what can be the problem. I will try to do this mod next week since I have to leave tomorrow for the weekend but in the meantime, does any of you guys have an idea of what might be the problem?

Le pire, c'est que je pars demain pour la fin de semaine avec le bike. Je pense pas que ça soit trop grave pour ma ride (sinon ça serait allumé en permanence) mais j'ai pas eu de temps avant pour checker ça et pas plus en fin de semaine évidemment.

pour le savoir il faut sortir le code de l'ordi et a partir de la tu peut te dirriger mieux si tu veut je m'informe. Je prend mon livre et on regardera ca ton probleme.

Ok, à Ti-Guy et GSX-J qui m'ont aidé, merci beaucoup. Voici le problème :
(GSX-J, je t'ai PM le même message).

J'ai fouillé un peu et j'ai finalement réussi à me rendre compte avec le "dealer mode" que c'est un code C28, ce qui me dit que c'est mon Secondary Throttle Valve Actuator qui a un problème. J'ai fouillé sur Gixxer.com pour me rendre compte que c'est souvent un des 2 câbles qui est endommagé et comme de fait, celui du haut l'est (effiloché) alors je vais le changer. Il ne me reste qu'à le commander...Sur les modèles 2000, le câble n'avait pas de gaine de protection alors il s'use plus facilement....voilà.

moi j'avais penser que vu t-as eu un problème avec ta connection de batterie
que t-as revisé..tu disconnect la batterie pour un x-temps pour faire un RESET

mais j'suis sur que tu l'avais dejas penser

Tout a effectivement commençé avec une connexion de batterie pas assez serrée. C'est là que j'ai commencé à avoir le code d'erreur. J'ai laissé débranché toute la nuit mais le problème persistait alors c'est là que j'ai décidé de vérifier le dealer mode, etc...
