go read up on my posts
Just check LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT at every stop sign/red light/whenever you go thru an intersection. ALWAYS put your LEFT foot down when stopped, right foot on the peg/rear brake, clutch in and 1st gear. CHECK your blind spots, and EXAGGERATE them...also exgaggerate any time you look left, right, mirrors..they want to see that you're looking. Ride in the LEFT part of the lane at all times, and when you stop at a light/stop sign, stop in the MIDDLE. Go the speed limit (obviously) They will ask you to park. Put your RIGHT flasher on, stop the bike, but it in NEUTRAL. Roll the bike backwards, and pack it against the edge of the sidewalk at 45 degrees. DO NOT touch the tire to the sidewalk (well, you can touch it, just dont leave it like that). Turn off the bike and get off (if they ask). Then get back on, turn on the bike, put it in 1st gear, CHECK the street and put on your LEFT flasher when entering the street. Those are pretty much all the "do's" and "do nots". Otherwise, just ride normally..and you should do fine! |

Hey, I just passed my road test yesterday.
Basically everything GooseMan says is 100% accurate. ESPECIALLY the part about when you stop at a light/stop sign or making a right hand turn... stay in the MIDDLE. The guy who tested me got the driver to cut in beside me on a right hand turn while I was waiting at the light to show that i was leaving too much space. So just make sure you protect your lane. Besides that, best advice you can get: Take it as a normal ride, don't stress... relax and enjoy. You'll be fine! Good luck! |

when parking I was told that to come to a stop you put on your right flasher but the once you wanna back up put your left one on to let the other drivers know that you are there, it makes you more visible

Well, to be very honest, i was super stressed just for the fact that i had to take my final exam on a bike i had never even as much as sat on before. But the evaluator was super cool, understanding to the fact of it being a new bike and all. So, that made it a bit easier.
As for the exam itself, follow Gooseman's earlier post and ur as good as gold... Good luck to all with exams upcoming |
